They're from The Hills. Aaaaand that's it.

They also have fairly ridiculous photos taken of them by the paparazzi. Before the election, they were seen walking around in Palin shirts, him carrying a shotgun and a six-pack, her wearing short-shorts and five-inch heels on some dirt road somewhere. It was like the pictoral epitome of why to hate Palin supporters.

That Stephen Baldwin refused to vote for them to come back may be the only thing he's ever done that I agree with.

Weirdly, I think Daniel Baldwin is a good move. It sets up a source of conflict, and gives the boys side a team that are bonded like Frangela- important when it gets to the final eliminations....

I know, right? I think it took having Spencer and Heidi on there for contrast, at least for a little while, for me to find anything remotely likable about Stephen Baldwin.

On the plus side, every time I see Stephen with any of his brothers, I picture the story about how when he said he was against gay marriage, all three of them turned on him, badgered him about whether he'd prefer an abusive straight couple over a nice gay couple to raise his kids if he died, and then one of them (can't remember which) told him their dead father would be so ashamed of him for that attitude.

Daniel's a dicksmack of the highest order, but that mental image is a winner.

If it's any consolation, we have similar hate figures over this side of the Atlantic too.

Katie Hopkins was a hate figure on the UK version of I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, and before that she was a hate figure on the UK version of The Apprentice, and in between she was nobbing married men.

*snort* 95% of the reason I've even heard of Spencer, Heidi, or The Hills (which I'm not entirely clear on either, beyond that it's - I think - "reality" TV) is because of you. I don't even have any idea what they look like. Ego much, Spencer & Heidi?
