I didn't even realize until this afternoon ...

... but I was driving up to my parents' house and that's when I saw that the church I went to as a kid was being torn down.

Not that that was a surprise. This town used to have a bunch of churches, but they've torn down two or three of them since then, since seriously, what town with 1500 people needs, like, seven churches? And the one I went to as a kid got damaged in Hurricane Ivan (I think it was) so they boarded it up a few years ago. I can't remember the last time I was even in it ... fifteen years ago, maybe?

Eh, fuck it. It was just weird, just driving along and oh, hey, half of my church is gone. Huh.

The church I went to as a kid and was christened in is now a Bavarian Bier Cafe. Which is also odd.
