Janet Jackson is unable to perform at the Grammys, but Justin is allowed to win one over George Harrison and Warren Zevon?!

Fuck you, Grammy-giving asshats.

Look at the bright side...

Apparently R. Kelly was allowed to be there as well.

Janet was set to introduce the Luther Vandross Tribute at the Grammys, but CBS has allegedly rescinded the invitation. -- via Access Hollywood.

Justin Timberlake isn't bad or anything, but he's not fucking George or Warren. I mean really.

knowing the grammys I think they set a limit on posthumous awards they wanted to give out this year and decided that out of the three living candidates (Sting, Michael McDonald and Justin) that Justin was probably the only one that wouldn't get up there and tell them that they weren't worthy and it should have gone to George Harrison and/or Warren Zevon.

Zevon already had Best Rock Performance by a Duo - and I think they probably wanted to avoid layering on the awards posthumously. As for George - Timberlake's simply better. And I don't even LIKE Timberlake, I just hate the Beatles more. :)

As for the Janet Jackson thing - she was invited, she just didn't show up. Apparently she looked at the calendar, realized she's fifteen years out of fashion, and stayed home out of a sense of decency.

Eh, I've got no defense on Justin winning, but both he and Janet were allowed to attend if they agreed to apologize during the broadcast. Janet refused, Justin didn't.
