Seriously, though, tell me that's not some lame rumor someone made up. Because less time spent reading about who Fred's boinking this week on my friends list would be much appreciated.

Don't know about the Lindsey part, but I did read that Fred dies. And is taken over by some kind of netherwig called Illyria - an "Old One". I haven't seen that particular plot recycled ad nauseum lately, have you?

I don't particularly mind any of the main characters dying or being replaced -- but if they recycle the possession plot, I will throw things at the TV. (Nothing heavy, since it's my roommate's TV, but you get the idea.)

If she dies, I'm sure it won't be permanent. She's the only regular female character now. Although it's already one of the gayest shows on the whole gay airwaves, so why not just go with the flow?

Yup, Fred's pretty much toast, and no clear word on whether or not she's resurrected (I'm hoping not, because Amy's Acker's a dear but cannot pull off leading lady status). What I've heard is that Darla and/or Lilah is going to replace her as lead female. If it does go to Lindsey, however, I will make sweet, sweet love to my television.

The ONLY spoiler sources I go to say she dies, but still exists in her body while it is possessed by a Demon (who literally possess her, in the I flow into your body sort of way) and that the gang goes to great extremes to save her. Sadly, the spoilers don't go far enough ahead into the future yet to tell us how it all ends.

I personally don't want Fred gone. I just want a strong chick back in the thick of things. She is not that chick. Gimme a Cordy or a Darla or a Lilah any day.

Of course, all I can think of is someone calling her "Jasmine Junior" now... x_x

Writer Guy 2: Didn't we do that last year with Cordelia?

Writer Guy 1: Yeah but we pretty much made sure nobody in their right mind from last year would be watching this year?
