The good:

I have six more weeks of winter twenty more weeks of emergency unemployment compensation coming to me!

The bad:

I'm going to miss the poetry reading at the cafe that starts soon because I can't justify not going another day with such dismal turnout when it comes to editing and whatnot.

The weird:

My mom just told me my on-again off-again high-school boyfriend was in town this weekend for Old Home Week and served at the chicken barbecue dinner on Sunday. Which I usually go to to pick up dinners for my family, but not this year, so I missed him. Also, he's married with four stepkids, some of whom are teenagers. I can't even wrap my brain around that, seriously.

The frustrating:

GROW FASTER, HAIR. Honestly, what is this almost-but-not-quite-a-bob-I-think-I'll-sit-at-this-length-ha-ha bullshit?

You can do it! I know the feeling of impatience and frustration with growing out hair. I've found a really god hairdresser who's been trimming/texturizing my hair really well, so that I still keep the length but the thickness of it doesn't get too overwhelming. I'm pretty sure it's just a myth, but I'd swear my hair is growing faster with the regular trims.

I'm thinking of going for another trim next Tuesday when I get my fifty-dollar unemployment bump. It's not long enough on top to pass for a bob just yet, but it's growing a bit at the bottom and I don't like the feel of it.
