Since I'm pretty sure nobody's really THAT serious about avoiding America's Got Talent, here's the awesome thing you missed tonight.
So there's this kid dancer, Arcadian Broad. He did fantastic in his audition and made the top forty. Then he made the top twenty after a performance the judges gave him okay comments for because he played a piano for part of it instead of dancing. Whatever.
Tonight they made him perform a dance routine to a song from High School Musical with a bunch of back-up dancers. It was ... okay. It wasn't the best thing all night -- quite frankly, I think he didn't have a chance even before what came next -- but then the judges started in on him and he got upset and basically said, "I didn't want to do HSM, the producers made me do this routine --" before the judges (and Nick) hushed him.
On one hand, it was kind of awesome to hear someone SAY it for once. I mean, really, nobody is stupid enough to think, say, that the pianists/singers the past few quarter-final rounds seriously asked for back-up dancers, for fuck's sake.
On the other hand, somebody just violated their contract. *wince*
EDIT: Fuck it. I voted for him on the website because it was too awesome to pass up. :D
