-- When Mitchell said he needed a teammate who would carry him this challenge, I kinda wanted to punch him in the face.

-- These people better not be as surprised as they're acting that they sprung an avant garde look on a bunch of two-person teams working on one outfit together.

-- Oh, good, Erika's gone. I didn't like her anyway.

-- Shirin is still adorable.

-- If I were Ra'Mon, I probably would have smacked Mitchell by now.

Ra'mon and Mitchell are going to have a smackdown. Or at least in my head they should.

I feel so bad for Ra'Mon. Being saddled with Mitchell is aggravating as hell.

And Qristyl and Epperson are just ... *sigh*

When Mitchell was asking if he should stitch something up, I was like "NO MITCHELL STEP AWAY FROM THE GARMENTS!"

I'm kinda glad that he didn't touch anything. Maybe we'll get a nice surprise and they'll get rid of him even though they were in the top.

I would laugh my ASS off if they gave Ra'Mon the win, and kicked off Mitchell. :D

I'm crossing my fingers for that to happen. Just to see the look on his face. He had three chances, and blew them all.

I know, right? He's screwed up twice, and instead of thinking, "I need to do better and prove myself!", he's like, "I need someone talented to carry me through this challenge!" Uh-uh, fuck off, go home, Skinny Perez Hilton.

Fatma looks really upset that Logan didn't chose her back.

Aw, poor wee Erika. I thought she was one of the prettier ones. But at least we're keeping Valerie. I like her personality.

I'm not surprised if he didn't if what Vanessa said is true. Fatma does come on strong and I'm not shocked if he feels like it's too much when you're working with someone to win 100k.

True. Fatama is gorgeous, I love her skin and eyes, but she's a bit too pushy for my liking. She needs to get that under control and the designers wold fight over her.

See, I started watching midway through, so I didn't know what Mitchell had said. This means I felt a little sympathetic when he was eliminated (but not surprised).

But when I watched the rerun, I definitely went "You did not just say that!"

I dunno, I'm not a big fan of Fatma...

I really sorta love Ra'Mon's model for taking one look at the horrible faux-wetsuit and saying "HELL NO."

I didn't quite get why the neoprene thing was that much better, but I don't understand Avant Garde full stop, so it's probably that.

After seeing a freeze-frame of the dress, I can see why the neoprene dress won. I mean, if it had been only Ra'Mon and only that one dress, I'm sure he would have gotten dinged. As it was, he produced two dresses, with practically no help from Mitchell, one of which he made by himself in a few short hours after scrapping his original idea. The dye stain could have easily been improved with a better idea given more time, but considering the time constraints he did well, because aside the dye stain it's actually a pretty well-made dress in the details.

I think he seriously lucked out with Mitchell being just as lazy and unhelpful as he was. I got the impression that Johnny and Irina may have won if it hadn't become patently obvious Ra'Mon WAS his team.

There was no way he was going home after Mitchell's performance last night, though.

Thing that amuses me: so, on this show they gave Ra'mon the win and booted Mitchell (who I suspect gets what he wants by being goofy and cute a lot IRL and folks don't notice on the first go that this is his only game--he's old enough to learn a new skill though), which was o.O the winning pair also had the loser!

AND

on last night's Top Chef? Er. I am hoping you have seen it. *looks* okay, yes. It nearly happened there, too. On consecutive nights. Mike I needs a serious kick in the ass, and I kind of hate that he's probably going to stay a while because assholes keep people interested. (er. not like that...)

Also, wow, Qrystal maybe didn't do enough to wrest away control? But OH MY GOD she had every right to be irritated by being shown things like how if you sew the right sides together it makes a seam when you turn it the other way. WTF.

Yeah, I spotted a comment on the TWoP PR forums that the Timing Fairy must have gotten hold of the tapes for both shows, because the same thing almost happened on the same night on two shows filmed almost a year apart. In all honesty, I'm not sure I wouldn't have traded Mitchell for Mike I. because I can tolerate laziness a hell of a lot easier than I can outright offensiveness. Three weeks of the bottom three STILL doesn't anger me half as much as Mike I. claiming a guest judge was displaying "favoritism" and making that suggestion about her being a spare chef in the kitchen because she had immunity in an effort to shoot her down. (At least, I saw a really good argument for him doing it for exactly that reason, and if it's true it turned around to bite him in the ass, because she turned out to be a strict but fair executive chef and dollars to donuts says whichever team she's on during Restaurant Wars will kick ASS.)

And yeah, Qristyl bothered me in her reactions. Epperson just sort of quietly took over -- his voice didn't rise, he was just as even-tempered and calm as could be considering he was being condescending and stubborn at the same time. And instead of standing her own ground and saying, "Look, you don't have to talk down to me, I'm the team leader, and you can either accept that or not, I don't care." Hell, learn from the one of the best bitches this show's ever turned out and tell him he can cry all he wants, but he better be crying and cutting.

See, I've got a brother who used to be like that when we were kids. All quiet and supposedly just offering suggestions while in reality just taking over in a way that irritates so much that you just want to scream at him. And you know he's doing it on purpose, that he's just staying that false annoying as hell calm to get you to yell at him, so that mom comes in and just sees you being angry and screaming and...
sorry, rant here, love my brother, but believe me, there is nothing harder to fight against than that kind of quiet aggressiveness, because it's specifically intended to make the victim look bad.
