-- Elton John and his partner are interested in trying to adopt a Ukrainian orphan after a tour of an orphanage there. Aw, the picture of him and the baby. *heart melts*

-- Christian Siriano's stunning Fashion Week collection. Oh, WOW. I love every single piece in that collection, especially number 24. And that skintight bodysuit is phenomenal, although I'm pretty sure no one can wear it in public and get away with it.

-- My goal for today is to try to convince my brother to watch Man On Wire. He's got my Netflix username and password, so he's been using it to watch movies and things while he plays WoW, so I want to sell him on giving it a chance. I've been debating watching it again myself, because I watched The Falling Man on Friday and upset myself, and I was going to follow it up by watching Man On Wire again but that would have only made me cry harder. Hell, the TRAILER is enough to make me well up.

-- I'm going to finish the chapter I'm working on for Heroine Addiction and then I'm going to print out what I've gotten written for the rest of the book, tape it into a notebook, and spend the rest of the day sketching out the details. It'll give me a chance to FINALLY watch that first True Blood DVD that's been sitting on the TV stand for a week now.

-- My computer desk smells like pumpkin pie because I have pumpkin pie air freshener and I may have gone a bit wild spraying it around the joint. Mmm, pie.

Oh my god, that long blue dress? #25? DO WANT. On the other hand, those are some of the ugliest and most robotic-looking models I've ever seen. They're literally wearing makeup that makes their eyes sink back into their heads. EAT SANDWICHES, FASHION INDUSTRY.

Somebody on Jezebel made a good point, which is that more dark-skinned models would have made those paler dresses pop more. It bleeds into the models when their skin is the same color as them.

Wow, I usually think of haute couture as performance art, but there are more than a few pieces there I can see someone actually wearing!

Where'd you get pumpkin pie air freshener? I am so tired of vanilla and lavender I could scream.

Surprisingly enough, they had them for three bucks a canister at Dollar General. I almost bought two because it smells so autumny and spicy and I love air fresheners that smell like that, which it's so annoyingly difficult to find. I want my house to smell like pumpkin pie all year round. :D

I'll have to check our dollar stores. Last year I found a couple of Fabreeze Air Effects limited edition, Pumpkin Harvest and Evergreens Snow, and lemme tell ya, I've been rationing it like it was made of unicorn sweat and one perfect tear shed by Jensen Ackles.
