I seriously get the impression that some people want a president who doesn't actually look or act like they should be president. I feel like Bush would be fun at a party, but the guy who's fun at a party doesn't deserve to be president.
It's like the teleprompter thing. They make fun of Obama for using a teleprompter -- of reading the speech off something that makes it easier for him to engage the audience. I can't decide if they'd really prefer him to read it off paper or if they're really dim enough to want him to memorize HOUR-LONG SPEECHES.
