Awww, Ryan. *pouts* (That said, the judges were right and he really was not having a good day performance-wise.)

I really wish Ellenore's performance gets up on YouTube soon, because that was hilarious and playful and that much alone makes me want to root for her for the top 20.

I'm also rooting for Blond Bob Haircut. (I can never remember her name! I just remember her being a phenomenal dancer. Ilyeta? I think that was it.)

I loved both of those performances so much, but I have to give the boys the edge, for everything from the choreography being more involved to Artie being put front and center.

As cartoonish as this show generally is, it continues to strike me that at the heart of it, the teenagers are simply realistically teenager-crazy as opposed to the adults, who are just generally childish. The Terri-Quinn conversation is a good example of that. Quinn is making a responsible adult decision (considering how much she knows of the home she's giving her baby to) and asking for reimbursement for the medical expenses and maternity clothes is not outside the realm of acceptable behavior. Terri's behavior in response, and for most of the rest of the episode, is.

There really aren't any adults on this show who behave like the functional adults they should be. Will's the most normal (Emma's the second-closest after that, but she has her OCD tendencies to deal with), but the thing is, there is a large part of his life that's based on living in the past. He has these dreamy ideas of what his high school years were like, and while he does have his moments of questionable behavior, that's mostly the admittedly outlandish extremes the characters and plotlines inevitably go to. The fact that there's a big part of him living in the past explains a lot, since the show tends to make the teenage characters closer to real acceptable behavior than the adults.

(It's like with Rachel. I get why people are irritated with her, because she's ... you know, irritating. ON the other hand, I knew girls like that in high school. YOU knew girls like that in high school. A drama queen in a high school glee club? God, she'd better be.)

... ahem. Deep thoughts: I don't know why I'm having them about a bubblegum black comedy.

Also, when Finn said Rachel was pretty if you didn't care about breast size, I kind of wondered whose chest he was looking at. Lea Michele's got fantastic boobs.

Oh! And what was that description of Emma? The one about her looking like a ginger dwarf with eyes like a bush baby? You know, after Emma calling Kurt someone who can't have gotten booze with a fake ID because he looks like an 11-year-old milkmaid, I adore this show's playful pokes at the actors.

Yay Jennifer and Kevin! They're two of my favorites (the brothers come in right after them) and I'm really rooting for them to place in the top three this season, so the two of them winning the Quickfire and the elimination just made me cheer.

Still hate Mike Isabella, but I doubt he'll ever stop being such a massive toolbox. Actually, at this point, not sure who's a bigger toolbox, him or Eli.

And you know what? The bitching about Robin pisses me off. Does she talk a lot? Yeah, obviously. Is she a bad cook? Yeah, she's not going to last much longer. But STILL. She's at an entirely different level of annoying than they seem to think she is.

I had to give it to the girls in the end, but it was a damn close call. I'm with you in loving how the guys put Artie front and center. He seemed to be pretty neglected lately, which sucked. Boy's got chops like whoa.

Also, that guy who kept going down to the floor and coming back up? DAMN.

I guess I give it to the girls because they did better in terms of vocals overall.

I've such voice-envy for Mercedes, it's not even funny. My voice has always been on the light, softer side. I want the big, booming diva sound. *pouts*

Re: SYTYCD... I ended up rewinding the cha cha with Ivetta (sp?) and the krumper (I forget his name) about three times... jaw on the floor each time. I was AMAZED.

This show has a history with that.

I was so mad about Ryan I could have BAWLED. The theme for Vegas Part One was, like, "Let's make the audience fall in love with some kid, then cruelly rip them from the show." So not cool.

Bowtie kid better come back. I loved him.
