apocalypsos-- 101 Muppets of Sesame Street. Words cannot encompass how cool that is.
-- I've been repeatedly checking my email today looking for my Yuletide assignment. My logical brain keeps pointing out that Yuletide is very, very big and it takes a while to assign everybody their things and I've got Gmail, for heaven's sake, so I don't have to keep refreshing. But my logical brain is ... uh, not very loud.
If I make whimpering noises while I wait, is that bad?
-- I have four more chapters of Heroine Addiction to finish, and I want to get them finished by tomorrow morning so I can go to see 2012 tomorrow. I'm at that point in the manuscript where I can see the finish line and it turns into a sprint to the end, where I tell myself I can fix stuff later and get all "FUCK IT, WE'LL DO IT LIVE!" about the ending. Which sucks because, hell, that's how I fucked up the end of GPW.
Also, I'm anal-retentive about my first drafts to be seriously annoyed that the Staples here doesn't stock the report covers I like. I settled on a couple of flexible binders to put Heroine Addiction and GPW in and they're making me twitchy.
-- You know, agree or disagree with fandom's feelings on anything wanky, I have to admit discussions on Racefail and misogyny and whatnot make me think more about how people will look at my own writing when it gets out there. I spend a lot more time than I used to going, "Okay, that's going to start wank," and adjusting accordingly as I write. Which is a good thing, really.
