Ashleigh's staying?!

I'm SO conflicted, though, because I thought what Ryan pulled yesterday was so sweet at the same time that it was SO emotionally manipulative, and I really REALLY would rather have Ashleigh over Mollee even though Ashleigh didn't dance last night because she's completely endeared herself to me this season, but ... you know, she didn't dance last night.

That said, when Cat announced that Ashleigh was staying and they cut back to Ryan curled up on the floor backstage, I AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWed so loud my neighbor may have heard me.

I maybe hope Ryan beats Legacy into the finale. Dude, I KNOW.

EDIT: I wanted Mollee gone, but oh, man, this feels a little like kicking a puppy.

OTHER EDIT: I ... I can't decide what emoticon goes with this moment. GIMME BACK LEGACY. NO, WAIT, I WANNA KEEP RYAN. NO, GIMME LEGACY. Urgh, can't we just glue them together and make them one dancer?

I'll be honest, I'm angry. I mean, the chance for Mollee to go home is great (even though it's totally going to be Ellenore leaving, and that COMPLETELY chaps my ass), but voting in someone who couldn't dance just doesn't sit right with me.

AGREED. I love Ashleigh, but it's not fair that she got the sympathy vote while others had to compete. I know that SYTYCD is partially a popularity contest, but this is ridiculous.

Also, I agree: Ellenore is toast.

The only thing that soothes me somewhat is that what they showed of Ashleigh during rehearsals made it appear that Ashleigh probably would have kicked ass in their performances. She certainly did a hell of a lot better in ten seconds of that hip hop rehearsal footage than the assistant did during the ACTUAL performance, which is just sad. She also had a fantastic track record with Jakob to fall back on, and most of her and Legacy's problem last week was Dave Scott's sorry excuse for choreography.

But, yeah. I like it because I'd rather have Ashleigh than Mollee, but I'm still uncomfortable with it. And I'm not sure Mollee will be the one leaving, either, which just sucks.

What pisses me off about Ellenore possibly getting voted off is that for all the critiques the judges gave her last night, if you didn't know that shot of her complaining about her collarbone was her injuring her rotator cuff, you wouldn't know she'd been injured this week to the point where they had to adapt the choreography. Meanwhile, Mollee sprains her ankle a few weeks back and the judges can NOT shut up about it. URGH.

I have to give props where props are due. Mollee's solos improved last week (fewer acrobatics and more musical), and the girl kicked ass in her perfomances last week. Ashleigh didn't even perform. Mollee being in trouble makes no sense this week.

The only reason it makes sense to me is because of what Nigel says every once in a while -- it's not America's BEST dancer, it's America's FAVORITE dancer. Which explains a LOT.

I think it says a lot that the two who are in the bottom four this week, Mollee and Ellenore, are the larger personalities. Not that I don't love Ashleigh or Kathryn, but they're more laidback, whereas Mollee is CUTE! and Ellenore is QUIRKY! By now, stuff like that's bound to grate.

but that waltz last night was so beautiful!

i'm not so happy about ashleigh (who grates on me much more than ellenore) and ryan staying. in terms of growth, legacy has shown way more, and his were the routines i kept on my dvr. and i kinda thought he was a douchebag at first. but even so there's something so compelling, esp in his partnership with kathryn (who totally deserves the finale).

and i'm kinda meh abt mollee and ashleigh. feel like maybe she got a sympathy vote and mollee had great performances, so ppl were like maybe she needs it less?

I am *sad* that Ryan stayed and we lost Legacy. I really did not like the dude at first, who seemed like a douche except for his totally random and too-frequent crying jags, but he's really grown on me, and he's clearly a great dancer. Definitely more personality and character in his dancing than Ryan, who reminds me of a Ken doll most of the time, which is creepy when he's trying to do the sexy thing because KEN DOLLS DON'T HAVE PARTS.

Anyway. That Travis Wall routine that Legacy did last night just blew me the hell away, and it makes he sad that he could do that kind of performance and then get voted off the next night. That's just wrong.
