The adapter for my netbook isn't working!

*headdesk*

Because what I really wanted to do is throw twenty much-needed bucks away on a new adapter on this thing. ARGH.

I'm trying to remember how much I spent replacing the power cord on my laptop when a rabbit chewed up the old one. Pretty sure it was more than $20, so it could have been worse, at least.

I sympathize. I just had to get a new DVD burner because I digitized a stack of VHS tapes only to find that the old burner was no longer working. Yeah, that's just what I wanted.

I have an ASUS EeePC, and had this problem a couple of times. What I did was let it completely run out of battery life, let it sit for a day or so, then let it sit plugged in overnight. Fixed the problem both times.

Apparently it has issues with overheating. *shrug* Might be worth a shot with yours before dishing out the $20?

Oh, that's not the problem. Right where the plug goes into the computer there's a break in the cable's casing and there's bits of wire poking out. I'm pretty sure THAT'S the problem. ;)
