-- Popped onto YouTube to watch Sandra Bullock's SAG acceptance speech (oh, man, she's going to win an Oscar, isn't she?) and sheesh, her husband is getting all kinds of laid tonight, isn't he? Heh.

-- Everybody's Free (To Be Fannish). My favorite is the part about never making sweeping generalizations you'll never cross line "x". I used to claim I'd only write canon het ships. Look how that turned out. :)

-- I got my keycard for the local gym in the mail today. I didn't actually go, of course -- I left the house to have a late lunch/early dinner with my brother, but that's about it -- but apparently it's unmanned and you scan yourself in and out, so I'm going to try and start getting in the habit of going starting tomorrow morning first things first.

-- I have SO MUCH WRITING to do, you guys. There's editing and word counts and plotting to do! But it'll probably have to wait until the morning, because I'm bleary-eyed right now just trying to type this out, so I can only imagine what attempting to start my Big Bang or work on Cherry Bomb would end up resulting in.

-- I really need to dig up more music for my MP3 player, since I can listen to it at work but I keep getting the same music over and over again and as much as I like Indian dance music, I think I've burned myself out on it the past couple of weeks.

-- WHY DO I NOT HAVE MY TAX RETURN YET?!

... sorry, just needed to get that out. Oh, my God, want TOY NOW, DAMMIT.

-- Also, Vanilla Ice performed at a local club yesterday and my brother went to go see him. (Hilariously, it was a REALLY popular gig.) Bryan was standing right near the stage, and at one point he yelled, "GO, NINJA, GO, NINJA, GO!" and Vanilla Ice high-fived him. Which, as we all know, is the correct response, only slightly less correct than to actually perform the damn song. Seriously, I'd rather see this than "Ice Ice Baby" any day of the week:

I would also pay money to watch him perform any scene from Cool As Ice. I would be particularly interested in hearing him to tell me to drop that zero and get with a hero, not because I want Vanilla Ice to flirt badly with me but because that line is both funny as fuckballs and also sounds like Subway's unsuccessful new anti-dieting slogan.

Used to say I'd never write incest.

Then Heroes snuck it by me with Peter/Claire and then I wrote it for real (albeit genderswapped) for SPN. *FACEPALM*

At this point, I say "Well, I doubt I'll write X, but I'm not ruling it out!"

As much as I adore Sandra, I'm rooting for pretty much anyone but her to get the Oscar. The Blind Side was a well-made Lifetime movie, in my opinion. That was a fantastic speech, though. She's so great.

Here's a treat for you then.

This week Vanilla Ice was on British TV performing with John and Edward. If you haven't heard of Jedward over in the US then (a) lucky you and (b) they're a couple of annoying Irish pipsqueaks spawned out of yet another of Simon Cowell's eternal franchise of TV talent shows.
