this really makes me want someone to remake this, like, scene-by-scene, but with the technology we actually have and a description of how things actually work. because obviously we some of this stuff, and better than this stuff, but we definitely don't have all of it (wtf, instantaneous free calculation of owed taxes?! why would H&R block or turbotax even exist if we had that?)
well, they weren't that off: email, online shopping, and online banking are really all important ... they just never figured we'd use the internet for entertainment. and really, who could've predicted stuff like ONTD, gifs, lolcats, etc.
It never fails to amuse me, how folks got so close on estimations of our technological abilities (online shopping, TurboTax, online banking, nanny cams) and yet completely miss the boat on how much social norms would change.
