I do think that if her germ-phobia gets worse, she could use some counseling help, but yeah, could he have been any more patronizing? I do not think so. I wasn't even sure how we were meant to take that scene -- I get the feeling we're supposed to think "Whataguy!" (she seemed so freakishly grateful clutching her little card to her bosom), but his smarmy condescension was too over the top for that.
