-- Heh, the Elysian Fields. (I've been a bit spoiled for this episode, so I LOLed.)

-- HEE! Dean's going to have sex with that buffet.

-- That desk clerk is creepy as hell.

-- Oh, Sam, sometimes you are the least stealthy six-and-a-half-foot tall guy on the planet.

-- A hurricane? In Muncie? And you two weren't suspicious earlier?

-- I LOVE THIS. "Don't mock my world turtle." I may be getting a bit of morbid amusement out of this as an atheist, let me tell you.

-- \o/ I knew Gabriel was coming, but YAAAAAY.

-- "To talk about the elephant in the room. NOT. YOU." Heh.

-- I LOVE GABRIEL SO MUCH. BLESS HIS HEART.

-- "Chick was all hands." *snerk*

-- "Let's go check out Pandora." I adore him. Have I mentioned that lately?

-- AW COME ON. D: D: D:

-- Dean, what the fuck are you doing?

-- OH THANK GOD. If I draw little hearts all over my TV screen with a marker, that would be bad.

-- Oh, my God, this fucking episode.

-- "You are a great big bag of dicks."

-- AW COME ON AGAIN. D: D: D:

-- People need to write an absolute metric fuckton of Gabriel/Kali smut, I swear.

-- THIS IS THE BEST WILL EVER.

-- First Kripke piles on the Good Omens references, then American Gods, and now The Stand.

-- Also, Kali is hot and awesome and female and non-white and ALIVE. Well ... broken clocks and all that, right, writing staff?

-- Also, the writers let Gabriel be AWESOME for forty minutes so that they could kill him off TWICE, those absolute fuckers. *pouts*

Next week: HULK SAM SMASH!

Honestly, they're not going to have anybody other than Sam and Dean left for season six at this rate. Not that I'm complaining, mind. I'm going to miss Gabriel too, but he went out on a FANTASTIC episode.

I was so thrilled during this episode, having recently finished American Gods.

I cringed every time Pestilence sneezed. SERIOUSLY GUYS, WE GET IT. IT'S ICKY AND CONTAGIOUS.

I'm not really comfortable with the supremacy of the Judeo-Christian religion - angels are more powerful than the other religions' gods? Really? - but this ep was so amazing that I DIDN'T CARE.

AMAAAAAAAAZING.

I love Gabriel's brand of snark SO HARD.

I can't wait to download so I can watch it again (I tried out livestreaming this week; uncomfortably jumpy).

IA so hard. Kali should have BBQED everyone. She's the destroyer but she had to be rescued. *scratches head* I mean she was perfect, I loved her, but come on show.

Depends

I could see Archangels, in theory, being more powerful than MOST of the gods presented, given their few followers. Kali should have kicked more ass though, as should have Ganesh. The only way I can think of to justify it is to differentiate being a sole deity vs. part of a pantheon. That ends, however, when you realize the Jewish God was actually the head of a Pantheon way back when. This means either (S)He is now superjuiced from getting the power from a whole pantheon's worth, or has multiple personalities.

One thing which bothered me all along was why Lucifer's prison was built in North America. At the time, it was Native American. Was that intended to be religious irony, dumping a prison in a "foreign" land?

It depends if you accept that the power comes from the followers. Which...I'm kind of clinging to as the only explanation.

I don't think that Lucifer's prison is any 'where' specifically - I thought it was supposed to be deep in Hell. Do you mean the entrance being in Maryland? The seals could be argued as being in North America the United States, but on the other hand we saw very few of them, out of ~600, so I like to think there were plenty around the globe.

The Ilchester, MD thing...well. Maybe their are multiple potential access points, and which one is required depends on situational factors. Lucifer's vessel was in North America, so that was where he had to be raised? IDK. This has probably been discussed somewhere by people who've put a lot more thought into it than me.

I think the access point in Maryland is just the first one Azazel found. And then he picked potential-vessel-parents from America to simplify getting the vessel to the access point.

*ahem*

Soon as that episode is uploaded, I will download, and make Gabriel icons and Kali Icons.

I definitely need to make a "Kali finds your lack of faith disturbing" icon.

Is is me, or to guest stars hope their parts suck? "Shit, I'm awesome in this episode, I'm sooo- yep, I'm dead"
