-- I have my phone interview with Wegman's in an hour and a half. I kind of just want to get it done and over with because it's the one thing this weekend I have to do other than edit and write.

-- I also have to call the bankruptcy lawyer on Monday, because I put it off for the last couple of days and I might as well get it over with.

-- I still don't have my car back. I'm sure I'll be able to pick it up on Monday, or even today if my mechanic feels like running over to his shop and waiting for me, but I'm sort of hoping he doesn't because I kind of don't want to look at it right now.

-- I was all frowny-faced yesterday because I didn't have my new phone. Okay, used phone. The cell phone I currently have is the one my mother gave me for Christmas a few years ago, since she's paying for the phone bill and all. It replaced the one she'd previously bought me, which had good reception, gave me access to email and the internet, and allowed me to download ringtones. I didn't need a replacement but she gave me (and my brother, who was still on her plan at the time) the same POS. This one barely gets reception even in my own living room and does basically nothing else. I feel all special because, OOOOO, it's got a working alarm clock! *headdesk*

So, whatever, I finally found a place online that sells unlocked Smartphones super-cheap. I wouldn't throw down money on a phone to replace the cell phone I currently have if it weren't for the fact that if I had a cell phone that actually got reception, I'd drop my landline and save myself that expense. It's stupid for me to have a cell phone AND a landline in this day and age, especially when I'm not paying for one of them. So throwing down twenty-five bucks or so on a used Blackberry that might actually get me cell reception AND perform the functions I'd actually prefer out of a damn cell phone should end up saving me the same amount every month when I drop my land line. Yay for small investments!

Except, well, I got the used phone I ordered yesterday, and when I opened it up there was a HUGE black V completely obscuring the screen. I doubted the company sent it to me like that -- it looks like someone in the post office accidentally knocked it against a corner -- and they offered to exchange it for a working phone, which is great. But now I have to wait. I hate waiting. *pouts*

-- Adam started his tour in Wilkes-Barre last night and apparently it was a raging success. You have NO IDEA how much I wanted to go. I could take or leave Orianthi, but every time they were giving away tickets on the local radio stations I whimpered. I'm not a big fan of concerts, but Adam could make reading the phone book a party and a half.

-- I have to sit down sometime this weekend and figure out what the hell the all-female post-apocalyptic extravaganza -- which I'm tentatively titling Barren but really am just sarcastically referring to in my brain as "The She-Ra Man-Hater's Club" -- is going to be about. I may just make a list of shit I really want to see and string together a plot from that. Hell, it works with everything else I write.

Would you mind sharing that site with the used smartphones?

They actually work through eBay here. They've been really good about exchanging the broken phone for a new one, and aside from the screen the one that I got was in excellent condition for a used phone. (I did end up trying to charge it and turn it on with my SIM card in it to see if maybe that might get rid of the V and while it did nothing for the screen the phone worked just fine with my SIM card. It actually ended calling my voicemail when I was trying to get it to work. ;))

Many thanks. CLC (my crazy lil coworker) is so covetous of my G1 and maybe I can surprise her with one. She's had a really rotten run of luck (sounds like we've all got long cruises on the S.S. Misery Loves Company) lately and if I can help her out, I will.
