apocalypsos... because I have to leave for the dentist soon.
A few thoughts:
-- It's either going to come down to Kenny vs. Angelo in the final two, or one of them is going to implode spectacularly and get eliminated shockingly somewhere around the middle of the season. Oh, show, you're so dependable. *hugs*
-- Oh, John, why'd you have to go and make dessert? Are you crazy? Nobody ever succeeds at dessert on this show! You should have changed your mind the moment you thought, "I know, I'll buy the puff pastry rather than making it myself!" Oh, no, honey. Just ... no.
-- Tracey's going to be a problem, isn't she? She's already reading as a bit of a snot. I'm hoping that doesn't continue. The world doesn't need another Tiffani, not the least of which because TC fandom already likes the Tiffani we have, thankyouverymuch.
-- I was shaking my head at the chefs who were watching the goofing-around in the stew room and rolling their eyes and being all, "I'm here to be a serious competitor." Dude, it's the STEW ROOM. You're SUPPOSED to get drunk and act stupid in the stew room. You can be an omg!!!serious competitor when you're actually, you know, COOKING.
-- I will say that I was thrilled to see them at the terrace on the museum, because I wrote that terrace into The Grand Prize Winner and it was nice to know what the view looks like, since I've never actually been there. :)
-- Chicken liver pate? Ew.
-- I would love to try and make Alex's deconstructed borscht, because it sounded like it was really tasty, and I do sort of like him after that first episode.
-- I'm still at that stage where everybody is just one big blur save for a select few, but then again isn't that always the case this early in the season? And I've only watched it once. (Yes, I know. I think I've ended up watching every episode of Top Chef at least five times each save for season two. Ew, season two.)
