apocalypsosWhere I should be right now: On my way down to the mall to pick up the shiny new MP3 player I can finally afford thanks to all of the overtime and extra work I've done the past couple of weeks.
Where I actually am right now: Sitting in the parking lot of a mini-mart ten minutes from my house with a gas tank full of fumes and -$2 in my checking account, waiting for the direct deposit that was supposed to be in my bank account twenty damn minutes ago but still isn't, tired and sweaty and getting progressively more pissed with every passing moment.
Jesus fucking Christ, world, knock it off.
EDIT: Okay, now I *know* my bank is fucking with me, because as soon as I hit post and redialed the bank's banking hotline, it showed that my direct deposit is in there. Urgh. Bastards.
OTHER EDIT: No, seriously, totally fucking with me. I can tell because while the banking hotline says it's in there, and any other place around here usually has no problem whatsoever charging anything to my debit card twenty minutes after it shows up in my account, I am apparently stranded at the only mini-mart in the area that won't register it a half an hour after it's in my account.
