So, say you were meeting a new person - blind date, new friend, who knows. And you wanted them to have some idea of what kind of person you are, and who you are. But you can't actually tell them in so many words. Instead, you have to give them a box, with a dozen things in it for them to ponder over.

What would you put in the box?

1. A random DVD. Seriously, any DVD will do.

2. A copy of Tattoo magazine.

3. Whichever copy of "Dead Men in Dark Suits" is the most revised.

4. A box of dark red hair dye.

5. A double-chocolate raspberry cheesecake.

6. A stuffed Siamese cat doll.

7. The family photo with me, my parents, and my brother in hockey jerseys.

8. An Oscar.

9. One of my true-crime or disaster books, properly bendy from being read so many times.

10. A Smirnoff Triple Black.

11. My tarot deck.

12. My Beanie frog, which still smells a bit spicy even a few years after it was trapped in a Hallmark bag for several hours with some autumny-type candle.

In other news, Hottie Supervisor? Is still adorable. He looks a bit young -- he's got a vaguely Richie Ryan thing going on -- but when he smiles ... gaaaaaaah. If you'll look closely, you'll see that my knees have, in fact, turned into lobster bisque.

Also, after I got into the car with Sylvia for a ride down to the Metro after work, there was this little exchange:

Sylvia: (puts key in ignition) "Do you smell gas?" (Starts car)
Me: "... she says, as she turns on the ignition and blows the both of us into smoky, charred bits."

EDIT: And The Johnstown Flood by David McCollough would make a kickass disaster movie. Please stop me before I'm tempted to dig up my Movie Magic Screenwriter and write the damn thing. *whimpers*
