apocalypsosOne set of parents is Andy's, which is unsurprising considering the spoiler floating around that Tim was seen in Hawaii about the same time that he would have been visiting the designers. It's also unsurprising considering the talent level of his collection, which was probably my favorite, weird metal headgear and all.
The other parents were those of Valerie and ... wait for it ... Ivy and Gretchen.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
There's people on the TWoP boards theorizing that we're going to see the beginning of the redeeming-Ivy-and-Gretchen storylines soon, which ... well, we have for Gretchen, and nope, sorry, still think she's a smug self-righteous twit with a boring final collection, and then there's Ivy.
Nothing would redeem Ivy for me at this point. NOTHING. She could save a small child from being hit by a bus and I'd be wondering who she plans to throw under it in the kid's place. Someone is theorizing because of that "We've had allegations of cheating" clip out of Tim Gunn that we'll see Ivy get accused of stealing by Michael C. and have the allegation be untrue, which I imagine means we're supposed to sympathize with her if that's part of her redemption arc. "*sob* I would NEVER cheat!" No, but you would trample all over any other designer who may have comprised your incredibly bland vision, right, Ivy? Ugh.
I can almost tolerate Gretchen being there instead of Ivy. The two of them together? Oh, God, Andy, if that's the case, please win. I don't approve of the Michael C. harping, but then again you have to live with the guy and you're being upfront with him about your concerns so you've got more reason than some other annoying idiots for any Michael C. complaints you might have. And your collection is lovely.
