apocalypsos-- So I have a question. Who in the DC area would have a driveway I could park in on October 30th? I'm trying to skim my costs for the rally trip down as much as possible, and right now I've got three costs -- gas ($60), food (which I may bring with me if I want to really save cash), and parking.
I cannot WAIT to go, you have no idea. Before that weekend, though, those of us who are going totally have to come up with a place to meet up and swap phone numbers and stuff. I asked my brother and friend if they wanted to go, but my brother's switching to a weekend shift and my friend probably won't go because she's still unemployed and money's insanely tight for her. So it's basically going to be me standing on the Mall wearing my shiny new shirt and looking like a lost lonely kitten otherwise. (The kitten thing isn't me being snarky. I may end up bringing my Siamese cat hat if it's chilly. Heh.)
-- I have spent the entire morning playing mahjong and watching old NMTB episodes. Oh, what a productive life I lead. :D
-- My hair's starting to look exactly the way I want it to. It just needs to grow a couple more inches and it'll be perfect. Yay!
-- I'm still debating what to do for NaNo. On one hand, it's NaNo, and it's easier to write silly stuff during NaNo. That said, I've got this one story idea that I've been sitting on that's ridiculously serious and requires a fuckton of world-building, so I'd have to start in on it ... er, now.
Also, I stopped at Target yesterday and picked up a couple of pretty new notebooks. Here's hoping looking at all of the pretty empty pages will encourage me.
