... it's 60 Minutes going overtime. And seriously, how is Undercover Boss still on the air? Can't you figure it out when some new guy shows up to shovel fish guts with a camera crew and a ton of personal questions about how you're not getting paid enough?
-- Oh, God, there's going to be a proposal on the Race? This could go very, very wrong. (EDIT: I'm not sure if that was Thomas or Chad now, but if it's Thomas, I fully support this, and if it's Chad I hope he gets INCREDIBLY shot down.)
-- Okay, so it took me about two seconds to ship the acapella singers.
-- Oh, good Lord, the mom and daughter have just met and they're going to explore their relationship on the show? Speaking of things that could go very very wrong ...
-- Oooo. The Express Pass could make things VERY interesting.
-- Hee! Smart Cars!
-- Wait, so who's our gay team? I'm leaning towards the black guys, but they may just be pinging my gaydar because oh the theater thing.
-- Speaking of, I'm really liking Ron and Tony so far. They seem very calm and sharp enough to have a compass, which will come in handy even if they don't have a map. My dad and I navigate that way, quite frankly. If there's no map or GPS to be had, you get in the car and you drive in the direction you know your destination is and it works the vast majority of the time as long as you're willing to get out and ask directions if worse comes to worse.
-- Oh, and speaking of teams I either like or hate, Chad's starting to bug.
-- I love how they're running for that flight because it's scheduled to get there a half-hour early. Which is only funny because I've seen this show before and a half-hour delay is not outside the realm of possibility.
-- HA! Team Glee! And what's-his-face really does look like Harry Potter.
-- All watching this sequence does is remind me that I really want to take a trip to England ASAP.
-- I really hope Ron and Tony or that other couple get the Express Pass over Chad and Stephanie. And now I'm seriously hoping there isn't a proposal by this douche, because if he's going to keep acting like this I'd say no if I were her.
-- Not being able to drive stick shift is one of the reasons I would probably never make the Race. Or I'd make it, and gthen end up looking like an ass.
-- I have a lot of hope that Kevin and Michael won't get kicked off because they've showed practically nothing of them.
-- I love that they're calling the mom and daughter Team Gilmore Girls. It's like this is the fannish version of TAR.
-- Connor and Jonathan seem very sweet and helpful and I'm seriously hoping they stay on the Race a while.
-- Vicki really turned me off with the "bunch of rocks" comment.
-- NOOOOOOOOOO. Don't get lost, Ron and Tony!
-- I really hope Connor and Jonathan don't get slowed down because they're too nice to leave other teams alone when they have car troubles. That said, the fact that they've been there for both car troubles this episode is sort of hilarious. If they weren't both singing piles of sugar, I'd probably be all LOL SABOTAGE.
-- Oh, Brooke, SHUT UP. That woman's about to get hit in the face with a watermelon. She doesn't need MORE torture.
-- Oh, Chad, you shut up more about Team Glee. They may not have the best navigation, but they work together well and THAT'S what you need to get across the river, Chad.
-- Wow, so Ron and Tony are seriously screwing up compass navigation.
-- Kevin and Michael are so great with one another.
-- Nick and Vicki are not doing much to prove they're not stupid.
-- "I wish I could juggle on a ball." I'm starting to think I want to adopt Mallory.
-- Every time they show Chad and Stephanie wandering around like morons, I die laughing.
-- The Amazing Editors are having a lot of fun this episode, aren't they? Especially with Nick and Vicki.
-- God help me, but I'm actually starting to enjoy watching Nick and Vicki be stupid.
-- Awwww, crap. I was hoping Chad and Stephanie would be eaten by bears. Polar bears. After they wandered all the way to Siberia.
Initial reactions to each team in order by their arrival at the Pit Stop:
Jill and Thomas - Good for them for winning the leg! They really seem like a great couple, and they both did a good job on the leg as well.
Nat and Kat - Another good team with great teamwork. Good for them for coming in second, and I would have been happy if they'd won the leg as well.
Connor and Jonathan - I'm really glad that they ended up in the top three. They've got great personalities and they're very supportive of their fellow teams, and while I'm usually a bit meh about teams with gimmicks tossing them on the table on the Race, they've got wonderful singing voices and I thoroughly enjoyed their bits in the cars.
Brook and Claire - I give them both a lot of props for working through the watermelon to the face and having a good laugh about it afterward.
Katie and Rachel - They seem nice enough. A bit vague at the moment, but we'll see what the season brings.
Greg and Mallory -- Mallory's the beauty queen, right? She is far too adorable.
Kevin and Michael -- I sort of adore them.
Andie and Jenna -- Good for them for making it all the way. It was touch and go there for a while but they've got a good attitude so far.
Nick and Vicki -- "The country of London, yes." The two of them are amusing me for being fantastically stupid (but nice about it). They're either going to get kicked off next week or cling to the Race like roaches.
Ron and Tony -- Aww. I liked them a lot, so of course, they got TERRIBLY lost. *sigh*
So basically everybody save Chad and Stephanie is great so far. Brook shows signs of getting a bit overexcited and loud at times, and I'm optimistic on the rest of the teams with the understanding that even the nicest teams can act like douchebags on occasion, but so far so good.
Next week, on TAR: Ghana! Dead cars! Doctors tripping! Finn wants his mommy and Artie's scared of the traffic!
