YAY! (Except I'm not drunk yet.)
Sep. 29th, 2010 06:37 pmMany thanks to everybody who wished me a happy birthday. *glomps you all*
The only thing I've gotten so far for my birthday is twenty bucks for my brother, but I'm not pouting or anything because there aren't many members of my family I can afford to buy presents or send cards for birthdays or holidays. And tonight I shall go out with Jess to a bar and listen to an '80s cover band and get goddamn plastered. (And then spend tomorrow at home, as I still have sick time left.)
Mostly what I've done today is slack off and run over to Keystone to check in with the lady who's with their weekender program and ask a few questions. She was very nice and very helpful and apparently remembered my mom, as the first thing she said to me when I peeked in her office was, "Wow, you look exactly like your mom." Heh.
It looks like I'll be taking college algebra, PC office programming or whatever, and speech communications -- in other words, public speaking. I suck at public speaking, so ... yeah, this should be fun.
