I got a compliment call today!

apocalypsosI haven't gotten a compliment call since I got hired -- although I do get a lot of compliments for being thorough and helpful from the people who call in -- but today this woman's daughter called in absolutely frantic about disenrolling her mom and how to do it and what would happen if her mom wanted back in later in the year. She was so frantic, in fact, that I could barely get a word in edgewise to get the info for her mom's account and didn't get the HIPAA info verified at all, so I could only give her general info.
But apparently nobody had bothered to give her very basic general information the first couple of times she called, because every time I told her something she tripped all over herself with glee that I knew, because nobody else hold told her. And then at the end she was all, "Oh, can I talk to your supervisor and tell her how awesome you are?" and I said, "Why, yes, you can!" and waved over a supervisor really quick.
This is all even more hilarious because I have a small dry-erase board on the wall in my cube that I write random silliness on and an hour before the call I wrote on it, "Everybody on the phone is mean to me today. :("
But, YAY! Compliment call! I know how to do my job! \o/

So my eReader plays videos, which is sort of awesome, except they have to be converted to MP4, which is sort of bothersome. That said, my goal is to throw the Top Gear travel specials on there just in case, because if there's any videos worthy of viewing on a larger screen than my MP3 player it's Top Gear episodes.
And I've already got my whole ebook collection on there, which is SO FANTASTIC OMG. I love the feel of a nice solid book, God knows, but having more than one book to read at any given moment is feeding my bookworm tendencies like crazy. I'm thinking of naming my eReader Teddy, as most of the time I want to snuggle it like a really soft and squishy teddy bear.

I have no plans for New Year's Eve other than probably hitting the sack as soon as I get home. I'm not nearly as disappointed by this as I feel like I should be. Next week I plan to start hitting the overtime hardcore again and I'll need the rest.
