I don't think I'm spoiling anything when I say that in 127 Hours, Aron Ralston has to cut his arm off after it's pinned by a boulder. However, one amusingly in-character moment comes afterward, when he turns around before leaving and silently snaps a picture of the severed forearm still trapped behind the boulder.
I thought it was just a funny fake character bit Danny Boyle threw in. But I ordered a used copy of "Between A Rock And A Hard Place" to read because, hey, you guys know me and survival stories, and EW EW ARON RALSTON REALLY DID TAKE THAT PHOTO EW EW EW.
... okay, so my reaction was maybe a little more, "HA! That's both disgusting and awesome," but still.
In other news, I've bought new tea!
I got the Toasted Marshmallow tea and it is heavenly. Oh, man, it smells *exactly* like a toasted marshmallow. I was sniffing from the bag all day long because it smelled so good. And the taste is wonderful and not too smoky. I drank it almost all day long at work.
I also got the caramel tea, which is really nice all on its own, but at the same time it tastes like it's meant to be mixed with other teas, you know what I mean? It's like brown sugar -- it tastes good, but it really should be used for making cookies. Or something.
And I got the fruit medley because they're temporarily out of the wild strawberry (which is a crime, let me tell you). The fruit medley's not bad, per se, but it's a tad more flowery than the wild strawberry, which is the same thing which turned me off the strawberry-flavored black tea. I swear, as soon as they get in the wild strawberry, I'm ordering twenty damn pounds of the stuff.
Speaking of, if anybody wants five-dollar gift certificates for Adagio, gimme a head's-up and I'll email them to you.
