Tom Wilkinson and Rutger Hauer sign on for "Batman Begins". You know, at this point, I don't care whether the movie is good or not. I just want to gather the cast together and siphon off their collective acting talent for my own nefarious purposes.

While I'm doing the entertainment news report, Seth Green is developing a sort of "Saturday Night Live with toys instead of actors" for Cartoon Network. *swoons* I love that man. And Spider-Man 3 now has a release date and stuff. Woo-hoo!

Plus, beware! Just reading this story makes you gain five pounds!

Blake added that Sony is "so excited" about "Spider-Man 2," the sequel to the 2002 box office smash "Spider-Man," that it is debuting the second film on June 30 this year, two days earlier than planned.

The Good: Yaaaaaaay! More Spidey even sooner!

The Bad: Dammit, I'm going to have to ditch this icon. I like this icon! Wah!

I've never been a huge Batman fan, I'm more of a Marvel girl, but damn I'm excited about this movie. Even if its terrible, which I doubt with Nolan directing, the cast is just so fricken good it doesn't even matter. They could film this group of people standing around reading issues of the comic and I'd probably see it.

*gleefully swings back* I know! I don't think I ever want to see a Spider-Man Sam doesn't direct.

I think I need to watch my Spider-Man this morning before work and pine for June 30.

I adore this cast. I even adore Katie Holmes, because when she's in a movie with people who can actually act, she's not half bad at all.

I'm totally Marvel myself, but Batman was the one DC character I always liked. And this cast ... I swear this is one of the best casts I've ever seen for a movie, ever.

And if all else fails, they'll always have this dipped in latex to tide me over.

wooooooohooooooooooooos!

Gary Oldman as Jim Gordon is my favorite piece of casting news EVAR. Gonna be so weird seeing him play a good guy, but it's a good-weird! *bouncebouncebounce*

mmmmmmmm...

Yeah, that'll do.

And I agree with you on Katie Holmes. I really liked her in Wonder Boys for example. She works well as part of a quality cast.
