First I watched both seasons of Misfits.
1. Nathan is such an unimaginably crude immature dick, and yet he's my favorite. I don't GET it. I know I like lovable douchebags, but he's sort of pushing it. (I'm still okay with him not coming back next season, though. Two seasons is juuuuuuuust enough Nathan.)
2. Future Simon - YUM. I fully support Alisha boning Present Simon until he turns into Future Simon, hopefully as soon as possible. Oh, man, that first sex scene. GUH.
3. I like Kelly more than Alisha, but I like Alisha/Simon more than Kelly. I don't get it, either.
4. Nikki! Damn it, I *liked* Nikki.
5. Curtis does nothing for me, but he doesn't bother me, either. Eh, I'd much rather stare at Future Simon in the shower again.
6. Heh. This show is sooooo fucked up. :D
*
And tonight I watched the premiere of Alphas.
The good:
1. It's really great to see an autistic character used so well. I think Gary is a very realistic interpretation, but I will admit that I don't have a lot of experience with autism in face-to-face encounters, so I'm really curious what those who know more about autism think about him.
2. I like that they at least try to ground the abilities in reality.
3. I want David Straitharn to come to my house and read me bedtime stories.
4. I really am a sucker for superpowered teams.
The bad:
1. I hate Bill. He annoys me.
2. I hated the file introductory graphic thingies. They annoyed me. Granted, that's probably just a pilot thing, but still. It assumes the audience is a little TOO stupid.
3. I really hope that Rachel and Nina get real personalities eventually. Or Rachel, anyway. Nina bugs me.
4. The pilot suffers from some serious "pilot syndrome". Every pilot is kind of a mess because it's got to info-dump, but you can write an info-dump without boring the pants off the audience. I really hope it improves in the next few episodes.
5. OMG WOULD ALL OF YOU STOP TALKING AT THE SAME FUCKING TIME?!
