More detailed commentary:

-- Okay, as much as I've disliked Jackson (moreso this season than last), I'm very glad he's now a werewolf. BUT he'd better realize what he's gone through the past season, and just how awful he's been, and that Lydia still gave a damn about him at all, and that Derek and Peter saved his damn life, and stop being such a jerk. The rare times you see him being decent and helping out, he's actually really great.

-- Oh, Gerard is sooooo not dead. For crying out loud, he crawled off dripping black blood the whole way, and he was controlling the Kanima. When Matt was controlling the Kanima, he started turning into the Kanima because he broke the rules. Gerard NEVER followed the rules. I strongly suspect he's going to turn back up as a new Kanima next season, or something kind of like it.

-- The comedy stylings of the Hale family, ladies and gentlemen. Their reaction to the animation was priceless.

-- You know, Scott's not the sharpest tool in the shed, but every so often his brain cells spark all on their own and turn out a really good plan. (Also, I love that the conversation that Isaac, the vet and he shared on smelling sickness came back to the fore.)

-- The more Stiles mentions or implies that he feels useless, I strongly suspect that next season he's going to make a concerted effort to ... I don't know, learn magic or self-defense or ask Derek to join the pack or something. I lean towards wanting him to apprentice to Dr. Deaton and Miss Morrell, because it seems like there's a kickass story to be had there.

-- SPEAKING OF. I need next season to come mostly because of the gleeful sounds I made at the two of them dressed all in leather and hunting Gerard. YES. YES. THIS IS MY THESIS. YOU TWO SHOULD HUNT HIM DOWN. AND THEN MAKE OUT. OMG. :D

-- I'm so glad that there's no way they can keep all this supernatural bullshit from Lydia anymore. I mean, really. The fact that they were, especially considering what they knew about what she was going through, was more than a little obtuse. And she's neither stupid nor a weakling. Hell, she faced down the Kanima with a goddamn key.

-- Isaac. ISAAC. Motherfucking Isaac. Who stayed to fight, and didn't run, and helped kick ass, and was generally awesome.

-- I'm almost glad that Erica and Boyd ran into the alpha pack. Not that I want them to die, or that I think they are dead -- I suspect they're dead, but who the hell knows with this show? -- but when you compare them running away with Isaac staying to fight, it just rubs me the wrong way. It bothers me more with Boyd because making alliances with others was why he joined the pack in the first place, but when push came to shove, he ran away. At least with Erica, I get why she ran. She signed up for this because her epilepsy made her weak and could have possibly been fatal in the long run, but then Derek offers her the option of making that go away. She signed up for lycanthropy and didn't think it through, even with Derek explaining about the Argents.
