apocalypsosI wonder how wrong it would be to nominate your own work for Yuletide.
(I'm not going to, both because I'm not going to be THAT person and because I've got my nominations all picked out, thank you very much. Still, I'm not going to pretend that fic where Everett has to double-check all their Christmas/Hanukkah decorations to make sure that Morris hasn't turned the menorah into a flamethrower or put aphrodisiac spray in the mistletoe wouldn't kill me dead.)

Also, I have two days to finish my paper on Japanese temple geometry, and can I just say how annoyed I was to get an email back from my professor when I sent her the initial outline like we were supposed to and she suggested some mathematicians to add to my paper, and it turns out they're all from this century and have nothing to do with sangaku? I mean, for real? Sangaku was in its prime from, like 1650 to 1850. There's plenty of mathematicians who worked during that time period for me to use. Sheesh.
Let's not even get into the girl who's taking the same History of Jazz class that I am who keeps posting to the group listening journal with the same negative comments about everything? She doesn't like horns, she doesn't like piano, she doesn't like Louis Armstrong ... why would you take a class in a genre of music you clearly hate? You don't see me taking the History of Polka, for Pete's sake.
