It's that time of year again.

I signed up for Yuletide. My thing with Yuletide is that while I am always grateful and happy to receive my present from my Yuletide Santa, I have to admit that I like writing Yuletide stories more. This year, I'm crossing my fingers that I get one of the odder fandoms I picked -- I picked two which I tripped over while looking for another fandom and snatched them up while making squeals of glee -- but any way you look at it, I can't wait. :)
I'm also all signed up for NaNo, but I did have to sign up under a different username because I couldn't recall my password for my previous account and apparently the NaNo site doesn't want to bother sending me a new one no matter how many times I try. So whatever, now my username on the site is jmatarese, if anyone wants to follow my progress over there. You know, if I make any.
I've been on a bit of a lag for a while now -- probably a combination of school and work and money stress, annoyingly -- and I didn't even bother to try NaNo last year. I'm crossing my fingers that I can get somewhere this year, especially considering that my plan is to start the sequel to "Heroine Addiction", currently titled "Heroine Withdrawal". (Yeah, why stop with one tacky pun when you can just keep going? ;))
I have a week and a half to plan something, so we'll see.
(I also told one of the other creative writing majors at school about NaNo. She's got two sets of twins and goes to school full-time, and I warned her exactly what she was getting into, and she STILL took the website address. And I thought I was a glutton for punishment. Heh.)
