Oh, God, Billy Elliot! I love that movie so much and seriously need to get it again.

The cut scenes edited out a lot of Sam and Liam Neeson being all sweet and whatnot. Also, that bit where Sam goes after Joanna in the airport in the end originally featured him doing gymnastics. *squeals*

Oh, yeah. The original cut was apparently something like three and a half hours. The extra scenes are worth it alone. And I'm only fifteen minutes into the movie with the commentary, and it's soooo worth it.

I adore my DVD collection. I bought an 108-DVD stand, and it's nearly full right now. I'm actually glad I didn't buy as many videos as I could have before the advent of DVDs. I probably would have bought more, but it took me forever to find a place that sold widescreen DVDs. God, I'm such a dork. :)

a stand? i´ve been trying to get some huge double-shelves (i want the front ones to slide to the side like doors) to fit in my videos. i spent all my money on them, argh. i was so against dvds for the first years, as they were even more expensive, and now i have to suffer.
but really i think it had to do with cds replacing vinyl, and my justified dislike just spread to dvds, which was idiotic, as i hate every little fault a vhs tape has, and they all have it. please, help me with harakiri.

180 dvds. a shelf. ...
