I don't think you can fault Mandy Moore, she of sainted fantastical hair, for this. From what I can gather from the mix, she sang a perfectly lovely version of a song...then some Moby/BT/Hex Hector wannabe came in with a beret (trust me, wannabe's always have the beret) and say, "Let's get cra-zay!" Sometimes, a little bit of Pro-Tools knowledge is not good.
