Jun. 4th, 2004 09:21 amUrgh. If I go into work today and Bosslady gives me a hard time, I'm going to flip. As it is, I am in desperate need of a vacation already, because all I do is go to work and work for nine hours practically straight through from beginning to end and then come home, and just for fun I've got the Glorified Optimist at work always asking me why I'm so pissy. Well, gee, I don't know. Could it be that I don't really get any breaks or lunchtime, and when I try to take five minutes to myself to check my email and LJ, Bosslady and the Glorified Optimist flip out and say I'm not getting any work done and blah blah indentured servitudecakes?
And then they wonder why I won't go out with them drinking after work or weekends. Great ... then it can be like I'm at work all the time. *headwall*
In other news, tomorrow I go see Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I have incredibly low expectations, hope to see subtextual porn references at every turn, and am pretty sure the underage cast is on some sort of mission to turn a good percent of the population into pedophiles. Oh, this review should be fun. *maniacal cackle*
Oh, and I picked up that issue of Entertainment Weekly with the 10 Best Disaster Movie Moments in it. I think I may have written this in my sleep and just don't remember. *snerk*

Date: 2004-06-04 06:36 am (UTC)I'm all set for the Hoffman Center tomorrow morning. I'm going to get there early because the line usually starts forming about 10 in the morning when big movies come out over there, but that's never been a problem for me before. As proven by the fact that I even know when the line starts forming. :)

Date: 2004-06-04 04:21 pm (UTC)but i thought of you today - i wandered through a cinema, searching for a screen that showed something i had not seen but nothing i wanted to savour either. opened a door, and two young people in a library of sorts either get dressed or undressed, dramatic music, shivering with cold or heat, and i just knew that had to be "day after", thanks to your review (i would never have guessed otherwise). i turned and left :P
