Don't be. I'm lived in California for my whole 20 years and I say that. I don't see how the East has a monopoly on that particular incorrect grammatical construction. :)

You prefer Hershey's Chocolate to Godiva.
We're See's, and Ghirardelli people, here in my corner of Northern California (San Jose), in terms of stores at least. Off the rack in a grocery store line, cheap good chocolate means Hershey. I almost never eat Godiva. I never see Godiva stores and rarely see Godiva products.
