I found a site with a whole bunch of MP3s of TV theme songs, downloaded a whole bunch of ones I knew, then put them in my player on shuffle. I don't think I've laughed this hard in ages. (Hee! 21 Jump Street! *is dead*)

EDIT: Before anyone asks, here's the site.

ILLEGITIMATE SON OF EDIT: OMG, "Land of the Lost"! *dies all over again*

UGLY UPS DELIVERY MAN OF EDIT: Damn, I still remember the spoken word part of the beginning music for "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys". Jesus, I didn't even watch that many episodes.

I can't BELIEVE they don't have ZORRO! (although I already have it in my own files :) )

Yeah, well, I just realized the Highlander theme they have is for The Raven. Sheesh ... if you're not going to have "Princes of the Universe", just say so.

*giggles* OMG, "Beauty and the Beast" just came up on my player. *snuggles Ron Perlman*

Hey, you didn't see the songs I downloaded. My Two Dads, Growing Pains, Punky Brewster, Who's The Boss ... trust me, I'm being punished. (But dude, The Facts of Life! The Love Boat! The Fresh Prince of Bel Air! Blossom! I think I listened to these songs more than I did the radio when I was a kid.)

"Step by Step" just came on my player. I hope you're happy. *gags*

oh, i fully intend to go back and snag some of the *really* guilt-inducing stuff. but some of the theme songs are actually kind of cool on their own...'st. elsewhere' (my favorite show of all time, omg that show was sick and weird, and got away with untold perversity because basically no one was watching it), 'taxi,' and my nominee for coolest theme song ever, 'barney miller.'

I'd download "The Greatest American Hero" theme if I didn't already have it on CD. I have to say one thing -- if Michael Moore hadn't been able to sell me on "Fahrenheit 9/11", I would have loved him simply for playing that song over the "Mission Accomplished" montage.

omg, he is a golden god for that and other snarky musical cues in the film. i did forget to mention in my post about it that it's his best use of songs yet.

Damn straight. That and "Vacation" were my two favorites, I think. I so have to ask for this for my birthday when it comes out on DVD in September. (Yay, September! I love it when DVDs come out so soon! *happy dance*)

you've heard about what's going to be on it, right?

'With Michael Moore's buzzworthy Fahrenheit 9/11 documentary finally hitting over 900 screens this weekend, talk is now shifting to the inevitable DVD release. Currently, the film is still without a proper home video distributor, although Lions Gate, which is sharing theatrical distribution with IFC Films, is rumored to be the logical choice. By Moore's mandate, however, the DVD must be released in September. "We want to get it out before the (presidential) election," said Michael Moore during a recent press stop for the film. "We hope the film and DVD will have a significant role in removing Bush from office." Moore's production company, Dog Eat Dog Films, has already produced many of the bonus features. The DVD is said to include additional footage and updates not in the current theatrical edit, a commentary track, man-in-the-street interviews conducted in 30 countries and more to be announced.

OOO. *covets* Yay! More Bush hate! *dances*

I really have to call my little brother and get him to go see it. He can't stand Bush, and he doesn't know half the stuff that's in the film. (Then again, he's twice as politically conscious as I ever was at his age, but I get the impression it's mostly because he despises Bush that much. Of course, that describes me, too. :))

I'm on my third round of "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air". I already knew I remember all of the words, no problem, but I just keep proving it.

And I forgot how much I liked the "In Living Color" theme. I really have to get that DVD set. Yay, old school hiphop and rap! :)

Gah, I'm going to be listening to these all night. Cheers just kicked up and I've forgotten how much I loved that theme song.

Who needs music when you have tv themes?

Dude. I just realized how totally sick and twisted the lyrics to Charles in Charge are. It's like some bdsm fantasy or something. I want Charles in charge of me!

OH. DEAR. MOTHER. OF. GOD.

I can tell that I'm older than you guys because I lost my shit over "Police Woman" (complete with 70's bwacka bwow wow guitar), "Quincy", "BJ and the Bear" (Gods help me. Yes, I watched that. Really.), "Black Sheep Squadron", "Baretta" (Don't Do It! Keep your eye on the sparrow! Don't kill your wife!), and "Wonder Woman".

My husband even did a special dance to the Wonder Woman theme that involved him pantomining Linda Carter running in that patriotic bustier thing.

That alone was well worth the entire site.

Super cool! Um....in a geeky kind of way. I now have the theme song from Greatest American Hero, which is my favorite TV theme song of all time.
