Well, back from the mall. Instead of getting a DVD stand, which can wait, I got Jurassic Park and the PoA computer game, which ... er, can't. (Note to Suncoast: You're killin' me here, people. I should not have to wander over to Best Buy to find a copy of Jurassic Park.) I also picked up the latest issue of People, which has an exclusive interview with Britney and Kevin that's guaranteed to lower your IQ, induce vomiting, raise your blood sugar, and warp the minds of fragile little children all in one fell swoop.

Also ducked into Linens N' Things and got a Chinese lantern-type lamp and a squishy little pillow. *snuggles pink squishy pillow*

EDIT: Note to self ... add The Core to the list of movies to review. Dude, that one's just asking for it.

It's a sign of how far I've come, from what got me participating online, that when you spoke of "Britney and Kevin", my first thought was not of Brittany Taylor and Kevin Thompson (or, as one of [livejournal.com profile] thessalian's characters calls them, Ponytail Barbie and Lobotomy Ken). Only when I read the names out loud did that comparison hit me.

Heh.

I adore the Core. As bad a movie as it is, I love it. It's got a cute hero who doesn't want to be there and doesn't think he's a hero [which is a whole new direction for the 'unlikely hero' angle], a plucky but not glamorous love interest who only kisses the unlikely hero once...

...and Alfre Woodard.

Plus, you know -- horrible death by microwave San Francisco!

And stir fried wok Roman style!

cheeheee!

I must say that I didn't truly appreciate The Core until it became the fixation of my AP Physics class. The movie drove my teacher nuts, so we talked about it incessantly. One of the two classes even designed and built an entire K'Nex rollercoaster themed "The Core". It was terrible hilarious!

Ah, The Core. Such a fantastically bad movie, and so proud of it, too. ;) Can't wait to see what you do with that!
