apocalypsosI think my brain is broken. I say this because though I'm on the Kerry/Edwards mailing list and I get those "Go, team, go!" emails all the damn time, my Windows Messenger popped up saying "You have an email from John Kerry" just now, and my immediate reaction was to just hope and pray the contents didn't say, "Ooo! Dibs on Inspector Gadget/Kolchak the Night Stalker for this round of the Pairing List!"
Not that I haven't known my brain's on the blink all day. I was listening to my one-hit wonders minidisc, which is always a bad move because it gives me bad ideas. Like today, before I left for work, I thought in passing, "Gee, I wish I knew how to make fan vids." So for the rest of the day, I found myself coming up with ideas like --
-- A Jake/Diane vid to "She Blinded Me With Science".
-- A Highlander vid to "Somebody's Watching Me".
-- A Buffyverse vid to "Busta Move" featuring every stupid Buffyverse dance move ever during the chorus.
-- A Day After Tomorrow vid to "Ice Ice Baby".
-- A Buffy/Spike vid to the punk version of "I Think I Love You".
-- A Princess Bride vid to the punk version of "Build Me Up Buttercup".
You know, if I got paid to think up shit like this all day, I'd be a rich woman.

Of course, I'm also currently doing a Buffy/Spike vid to a song with lyrics that are, according to one of the bandmembers, "from a guy with a funny accent who learned them from a guy with another funny accent who wrote them. When he heard our version he laughed really hard. We don't know why." It has fiddles.
