apocalypsosToday I heard a political ad on the radio advocating a candidate who supports the Federal Marriage Amendment. It was one of those dorky ads where someone says a "good" thing about the candidate, and someone else says whatever awful, evil ideas the opposition has -- in this case, "So-and-so doesn't think the Federal Marriage Amendment is important!"
Uh, you know what? In a world with terrorists, Sudanese genocide, starving children, war and unrest in the Middle East, murder, rape, stalled economies, and the like, the Federal Marriage Amendment ranks on the list of vitally important things right after a constitutional amendment to make the Care Bears the official cartoon characters of the United States.
Urgh. Is it after the election yet? No? Okay, fine, I'll settle for it being September in about an hour and a half. 'Cause then it'll be the same month as my birthday and YAY.
