I think the Mormons believe that Jesus came to America, incidentally.

That's ... just odd.

I would argue that it still doesn't matter because it doesn't change the fact he's dead, but that qualifies him to vote in Chicago.

They believe that people travelled to ancient America from Israel to settle and that some of them were prophets. A prophet named "Mormon" wrote the Book of Mormon which God preserved on gold plates for Joseph Smith to find in 1820 and translate. The Book of Mormon shows how Jesus Christ visited ancient America after his Ascension. - http://www.lifeintheusa.com/religion/mormons.htm

The Native Americans the Mormon settlers encountered were nonplussed to hear this.

Isn't there an episode of South Park where this comes up?

Yeah, they had a Mormon family move in. I thought Trey and Matt wussed out at the end of the episode, but I guess in Colorado Mormons don't seem so strange.

South Park likes to make fun of the Mormons a LOT.

But aren't they the only ones that got into heaven in the end?

Doesn't necessarily make him eligible to vote, though.

Y'know, all these politicians saying that God is on thier side, and then there's hurricanes and volcanos...

Didn't Jesus freak out and kick the shit out merchants or money-lenders or something? People who were profiting from people's religious beliefs?

Just sayin'... O.O

Well, of course, not all of us NC people are that stupid. But, anyway, for some reason this incident reminds me of something I've read that actor Christopher Lee said. He basically said that some idiot asked him who he thought would win in a battle between the two: Saruman or Count Dooku.
:D Hee, hee, hee.

Count Dooku would win of course.

Of course he's an American citizen. He fought on the side of the Americans in the War of Independence, which automatically qualifies him don'tchaknow.

P.S.
He's alive, dammit! Heretics! Repent! Repent!
