The llama song. IT KILL YOU DED. That link's all wicked_wish's fault. The kid that shows up for "Is that how it's told now?" looks exactly like my little brother to an almost scary degree.

Am watching You've Got Mail. I think I finally figured out why I like this movie at all -- not because it's any good, or because of Tom Hanks or Meg Ryan, but because I have severe bookstore envy.

Also, somehow I stumbled across some anti-gay ramblings this morning looking for something else, leading into the inevitable, "Babies raised by gay people will kill us all OMGWTF?!1!!1" or something kind of like it. You know what? I'm not scared of roving bands of homosexual-raised kids. I'm more afraid of roving bands of former Anne Geddes models intent on destroying the lives of anyone who was involved in dressing them up like a peapod and putting them on millions of calendars.

I'm so glad whenever I find out somebody hates Anne Geddes pictures, too. They're so popular, and I don't get it. Babies dressed up as cabbages is scary! (And did you ever see the one with babies hanging in pantyhose or bags or something?) *shudder*

I just want to know what level of opiates they feed the kids to get them to all sleep at the same time. And the poor adult models--do they have to hold pose while waiting for the miserable little tomato-kinder or tulip-kinder to pass out? How do they manage those loving, nurturing smiles after that? Or are they on opiates too?

Personally, the Anne Geddes picture I find most disturbing is the one of the very, very young woman wearing a body stocking with a baby curled up inside it against her stomach. Oh, great. ANNE GEDDES PICTURES FOR THE UNBORN.

I've never seen You've Got Mail, but I have a great family anecdote about that. My older brother and mother were in NYC when they were filming that movie, and she was going to go clothes shopping. He didn't want to join her, so she pointed out a bookstore nearby and told him to go there. There weren't any books, so he just hung around, disappointed, until she came to get him. He found out later that was a set for the movie.
