Nov. 3rd, 2004 10:19 amIn good election news, yay, Obama! Barack Obama in 2008! Numfar, do the dance of wicked-cool politicians!
As I said in
jtersesk's journal, if my reaction to this crappy election is to write Barack Obama a swoony love letter with hearts dotting the I's and a lock of my hair and a quiz on the back that says "Check 'yes' if you like me back!", that's okay, right?

Date: 2004-11-03 07:51 am (UTC)Personally, I want Obama in that Oval Office. The more I read about him, the more I love him. If he runs in four years and is looking for volunteers, I am so incredibly there.

Date: 2004-11-03 07:53 am (UTC)Want to hear something amazing? Me, too. I have never, ever, ever worked on a political campaign. Ever. I don't do that sort of thing.
But I will if he runs.
Yes, that was the earth you heard, shifting.

Date: 2004-11-03 07:54 am (UTC)And Edwards has a nice bum. I have a feeling that it'd be Edwards/Obama in '08, however, since Edwards is going to be more senior a senator.

Date: 2004-11-03 09:29 am (UTC)I'd only vote for Hilary Clinton if I could talk to her first and let her feel my velvety iron glove.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least.

Date: 2004-11-03 09:48 am (UTC)It ain't happening. Clinton is too divisive to be a national candidate, and the Republicans would rather cut off their toes than nominate anyone from New York City, a.k.a. Gomorrah. Let alone a pro-choice guy.
That Presidential race would be an act of desperation (or just plain insanity) on the part of both parties. And I'm not sure I'd like either result.

Date: 2004-11-03 10:09 am (UTC)Hillary Clinton has been keeping a low profile nationally, but she's keeping herself in the sights of the dems that make those kind of choices. She isn't being inflammatory. She isn't alienating her constituents. She is playing it smart. I still say she'll make a bid.

Date: 2004-11-03 06:18 pm (UTC)Clinton is too divisive- there's just too many people who automatically associate her with Satanic evil. People keep mentioning her because she's probably the most prominent female politician around, and her name recognition is off the charts, but it's not happening. Everyone recognizes her name, and too many people despise it. It's better to start off unknown.
