Nov. 10th, 2004 11:14 amWell, now that I have printer ink and paper, I finally got to print out what I have of The Monsters of Minooka and The Walking Dead of Wilkes-Barre and stick them into a notebook, which is now twice the size it was when I bought it yesterday. Hee. My goofy, time-wasting writer-type tricks.
Also recced The Crow and The Poseidon Adventure on
movie_recs. Hey, I wouldn't be me if I didn't rec at least one disaster movie. ;)
Oh, and you know what I just realized? The soundtrack to the first Harry Potter movie would make great background music for Christmastime. Mmm, pretty.
Okay, off to Starbucks.
EDIT: Dear Oh-Woe-Is-Me-Ooooo ... newsflash. I start work at 1 o'clock. That's when the little hand is on the one and the big hand is on -- you know, bugger this. The only working clocks in the place are on the computers and "1:00" should not be that hard a time to recognize. Until you see that time on your computer, don't fucking forward me calls. I don't care how nice the guy was, I walked in carrying a big McDonald's bag and I'd really like to eat what's in it. Asshat. *seethes*
SUGAR-ADDICTED CO-WORKER OF EDIT: I stopped at the Sweet Factory before work to pick up more Bottlecaps and also bought a can of energy drink there that I couldn't resist. Not 'cause I like energy drinks -- because for the most part, blech -- but because it's got Happy Bunny on the front of it, it's called Spaz Juice (underneath it is written "Drink this and feel less sucky"), and the caption is "All the energy you need to annoy everybody else." I feel like filling it full of Mountain Dew and then pretending like I've finished off about five of them. :)

Date: 2004-11-10 08:31 am (UTC)John Williams did both scores, and the score for Home Alone is a reworking of "Carol of the Bells" (or "The Ukrainian Bell Carol"). Once you've heard it, you can't help but recognize it in the Sorcerer's Stone soundtrack. Especially the eerier parts. I love the HP soundtrack for holiday cheer. :)

(The invention of Venti-sized drinks was a stroke of genius. Mmm, vanilla latte with an extra shot...)

Date: 2004-11-10 09:56 am (UTC)My theory is that it should have been the soundtrack to The Polar Express, which is why I'm still so pissed off about the gospel choir ("Christmas! CHRISTMAS!!") in the first trailer.
