Just got back from seeing Finding Neverland. Oh, my God, how great was that? The one thing that threw me, though, was when they were performing the play at the Davies house and "Peter" said, "The redskins have been defeated?" It was a DC-area audience, so there was this collective snerk as if we were all trying to keep from blurting out, "Yeah, that's not a surprise." Hee. :)

That could be the setting for a great update of Damn Yankees ;)

Oh, yeah. Kate Winslet and Johnny Depp are both wonderful, and the kid playing Peter (the one who Johnny Depp recommended for the Charlie Bucket role in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory) was phenomenal. He'll make you wibble, guaranteed. :)

Hey man, I thought we talked about this. It's not nice to poke a dead body with a stick. Leave the Skins to decompose in peace. They don't even have the vaguely cool President-deciding superstition any more.

I don't think any of us could help it. Especially considering I could have sworn some guy sitting down the aisle from me muttered, "Sure they have."

That kid beat out Johnny Depp with an Irish accent for the most adorable factor in the movie- he has to be awesome. :)

Watching that movie today and seeing Johnny Depp and Freddie Highmore interact gave me great hopes for Willy Wonka.

Gah, that kid. Is amazing. I wanted to give him a hug in almost every moment of his screentime. Augh. Awesome movie.

Ohmygod yes, that was so disorienting. I was all wrapped up in the (adorable) story, and that comes along and confuses me for a good 30 seconds. Perils of living in DC, I guess.
