Canada's Supreme Court ruled Thursday that gay marriage was constitutional, a landmark opinion allowing the federal government to call on Parliament to legalize same-sex unions nationwide.

Meanwhile, in America, we still have to deal with this schmuck. "Dig a hole," Gerald Allen recommends, "and dump them in it." As somebody else said, I'm not taking literary suggestions from someone who think Shakespeare's character's name was "Hammet."

Not knocking them, just a bit of teasing to any NZers reading this. =) We're supposed to be the 'leader of the free world' and ahead of the curve on stuff, or so we'd like to think, but here we are again, going in reverse...

Fine, go protect your bass-ackward little state that couldn't amend it's constitution to finally get rid of segregation against blacks THIS YEAR because the vote was too close to call, and let the rest of this once-fine nation move into the 20th Century.

This wouldn't piss me off so much if every single one of these asshats didn't go around calling everyone who isn't them, "immoral" and "against moral values" and such. Y'know what? I take that personally. I live a good, honest life, or would like to think I do. I get a little miffed when people say that I'm not moral. Yeah, heaven forbid that I try and keep people from being happy and full of love. That's completely immoral.

...And this is a longer rant than anything I've posted in my OWN journal for like a year.
