Feb. 6th, 2005 06:16 pmMichael Chiklis introduced the Pats! Eee! *loves Michael Chiklis* And Will Smith's introducing the Eagles. I'm happy now.
And that Tostitos commercial with the wedding? I loved that one. :)
Okay, the military memorial thing is nice.
It's scary not only that I immediately identified the monkey-and-banana commercial as a "Can you hear me now?" spoof, but that right after that, I died laughing and couldn't stop.
BWAH. The Eagles were listening to Rick James in the locker room.
Oh, come ON, Eagles. Don't lose the football now, for crying out loud.
Okay, that Bud Light commercial with the plane was pretty fucking funny.
On a barely related note, it's early in the first quarter and I'm on my second Smirnoff. I may need to lay off afterwards if I want to be sober enough to work on the Everyday Superheroes story I want to write later.
It's wrong how much I liked the P. Diddy Diet Pepsi commercial. Oh, yes.
You know what? I'm boycotting the halftime show this year since they were such dicks about it last year.
Okay, that FedEx Kinko's commercial is officially my favorite commercial so far. *dies laughing*
You know, the only reason I like that GoDaddy.com commercial is because it spoofs the uptightness issue. And that Diet Pepsi commercial with Carson Kressley? Okay, that was kinda funny. (These commercials aren't half bad this year, for the most part.)
Is it just me, or is Westbrook doing really well this game? (Before anybody says anything, it probably is just me, because football for me comes right after basketball, baseball, and hockey.)
That whole last play was alternately pissing me off and getting me excited. Although I did respect the player from the Pats checking to see if the guy from the Eagles was okay.
And this is the perfect opportunity for a "Longest Yard" trailer.
Okay, the Abraham Lincoln fry is starting to annoy me.
I have to give both teams credit, because they're both being really helpful to one another when an opposing player might be injured.
And that superhero commercial? HEE. Wolverine and Storm! And Underdog! (By the way, considering the number of typing errors I made with that last update, no more Smirnoff for a quarter or two.)
Oh, for Christ's sake. Somebody SCORE already. (Not that I'm really complaining, because I'd rather both teams be good enough to hold each other scoreless for the first quarter than somebody already be getting their ass kicked this early.)
Those poor cheerleaders must be freezing.
The Honda commercial only get smy love because that was Clancy Brown doing the voiceover.
Well, at least Philly still has the ball. *sigh* Now, if they could just, you know, score.
YES! WOOHOO! *happy dance*
Okay, the Bud commercials this time are really good. And they threw MC Hammer back! Bwahahaha.
Is it just me, or do the Pats keep doing things to screw themselves up? (Granted, the Eagles haven't been playing perfectly, but the Pats seem to be getting a lot of flags. But then again, let's remember, not a huge football fan here.)
It's scary how much of a sideline football coach I become during the Super Bowl when even I know I don't know shit about football.
Okay, the cockatiel ad was dumb.
Batman Begins!!! *squeals*
Okay, is it halftime yet, because I really have to pee.
Come on, Eagles, don't let those guys score before halftime.
Damn it! Hmph. I'm not saying things like that (^) anymore tonight.
Okay, the Brad Pitt commercial was cute simply for having Brad Pitt in it.
Aw, I want to hug MC Hammer right now. That's so wrong. :)
Aw, maaaaan. *smacks the Eagles upside the head*
I really kinda liked the War of the Worlds trailer. 'Cause, yay, fictional disaster.
YAY! Woohoo! :)
They just showed a commercial for Glenn Close being on The Shield this upcoming season. Oh, God, I wish I had FX. (And that I had seen anything other than Season One, which I adored.)

And, the halftime was really bloody boring. I mean, really. Except the Bond song made me squee. And Hey Jude will be officially stuck in my head for the next three days.

Date: 2005-02-07 02:13 am (UTC)And damn it, I want a real trailer out of War of the Worlds. Batman Begins was the best trailer of the night, but hell, even Constantine trumped War of the Worlds at this point.

Date: 2005-02-07 02:26 am (UTC)No, you weren't wrong about the first half; I got out of the shower just to see the commenters going, "That was such a SLOPPY first half, wow!" Okay, something to that effect. :)
I have been amazed at the number of flags, though; I may be something of an occasional watcher (nothing like cleanin' to a football game!), but it never seems like they throw so many flags on regular season games.
Also, the field is apparently verra slippery! How weird. :)
