Those ABC promos are going on and on about somebody getting all killed on “Lost” tonight, but here’s the real scoop:
TWO die tonight! “And one of the deaths,” we are told by a highly reliable source, “is pretty frigging wicked.”
But none of the regulars die tonight.

I don't know whether to be grateful or pissy. But hell, at least somebody ... okay, two somebodies are dying tonight.

We hear that one of the deaths belongs to Steve (of “Steve & Scott” fame).

NO! *whimpers* Damn it, I like Steve. Even if he does have a genetic condition in which he's physically incapable of having flashbacks.

The other death is unspecified, but were I a betting man I’d bet on Claire’s kidnapper, Ethan Rom.
Because Ethan Rom, the other man, knows too much. And because he knows too much, the creators want him dead.

Well, that's true. God knows we wouldn't want to clear up any mysteries on this show. *eye roll*

How the rest of the season shakes out:
Episode 15: Homecoming
Feb. 9 (Tonight)
Written by: Damon Lindelof (“Pilot,” “Tabula Rasa,” “Confidence Man,” “Whatever the Case May Be”)
Centered around: Charlie
We learn why Ethan wanted Claire’s baby.

Episode 16: Outlaws
Feb. 16
Written by: Drew Goddard (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Angel,” “Alias”)
Centered around: Sawyer
We learn of Sawyer’s connection with Jack’s dad.

Ha. I figured as much, especially since when Sawyer was in the police station, he was ranting something like, "I was just trying to give him his bottle back!" Which makes sense with Jack's drunk-ass father. I can't decide whether Sawyer was just there the day Jack's dad died or accidentally killed him. (As much of an ass as Sawyer can be, I just don't know if I can see him killing someone intentionally, considering how cocky and childish he behaves with a weapon in his hands.)

Episode 17: … In Translation
Feb. 23
Written by Javier Grillo-Marxuach (“House of the Rising Sun,” “Hearts and Minds”) and Leonard Dick ("Fastlane," "Hack," "Tarzan," "Clubhouse").
Centered around: Jin
Sun comes out of the closet.

You know, I know it's about her speaking English, but putting it like that spawns slashy plotbunnies in my head. :)

Episode 18: Numbers
March 2
Written by: David Fury (“Walkabout,” “Solitary,” “Special”) & Brent Fletcher (“Angel”) & Leonard Dick ( “… In Translation”).
Centered around: Hurley
We learn Hurley hit the lottery.

The spoilers that Hurley won the lottery came out a while ago, but can I just say how much I love that idea? That when he said he owed Walt $50,000, he could plausibly pay it to the kid? Bwah. Love. It.

Episode 19: Deus Ex Machina
April 13
Written by: Damon Lindelof (“Homecoming”) and Carlton Cuse (“Hearts and Minds”)
Centered around: Locke

I doubt it's going to be an explanation for his being able to walk, even though I really, really want one, damn it. Ten bucks says it has to do with the hatch in the jungle.

Episode 20: Do No Harm
April 20
Written by: Janet Tamaro (“Line of Fire,” “CSI: New York”)
Centered around: Jack

Oh, good Lord, not another one. *eye roll*

Episode 21: Sides
April 27
Written by: Leonard Dick (“Numbers”)
Centered around: Sayid

Yay! More Sayid! Sayid makes everything better. :)

Episode 22
Centered around: Kate

*gags* Bored now.

But 22 doesn’t represent season’s end. Cause we confirmed today there are 24 episodes to this supersized first season.

Yay! Now all I need the DVD box set and I'll be completely happy. Oh, yes.

Do you know that this set of spoilers is the only one I've read?

Episode 19: Deus Ex Machina
April 13
Written by: Damon Lindelof (“Homecoming”) and Carlton Cuse (“Hearts and Minds”)
Centered around: Locke

That episode title so fits Locke. *grin*

Note on the Jack & Kate episodes: I know you don't like them, but you do know they need episodes too right?

I'm quite happy that there will be Hurley and Jin episodes.
I want to know more about Hurley.

True, I know they need episodes, but considering what we learn so far when they get flashbacks (*grrlittleplasticairplaneWTF?!grr*), all their episodes have done so far is annoy me. Plus, between the two of them, they've had six episodes out of a twenty-four-episode season, which means they've gotten a full quarter of the episodes to themselves and there's eleven main characters. It's not exactly sharing the wealth. I want to see everybody else's flashbacks.

And I want to know everything about Hurley. He's my favorite. :)

Yay spoilers! Yay Hurley getting an ep and Sayid getting his!

(Seems like they wrote Charlie into a corner, kinda?)

At least they're splitting up the Jack-Kate episodes now. Because when one comes right after the other, they tend to be...not good...for the storyline. Just...not good. :)

I am totally starting to hate Kate. Like, with a passion. Part of it is because the boyfriend likes Kate and part of it is because she does kinda squire her way into everything! Why, oh, why? There are more interesting people on the island to be focusing on, like the pseudo-incest storyline or the fact that Shannon was bandaging up Sayid and he didn't even get hurt! She just wants an excuse to touch him, is all.

As would we all.

Okay, maybe not the boys. But you get my point.

YES, damn it. And the thing that drives me nuts is that part of me knows that if there were less Kate, I wouldn't hate her so goddamn much. At least with "Buffy", I disliked her, but she was the main character and her name was in the title so I could take it. Until it becomes "The Great and Sunny Kate Show!!!" ... yeah, not liking Kate.

And did you notice the smile on Sayid's face as Shannon was treating him? Hee. He was so faking it so Shannon would touch him. Damn it, camera, rip yourself away from Kate and point yourself at the FCC-friendly porn going on five feet away!
