So much for asking my mother if she wants to go on TAR with me. I asked, and she shot it right out of the water. Well, back to the drawing board. *shrugs* :)

In other news, my iPod is really starting to piss me off. It's either broken or it needs a new battery, and I've already been having trouble with every third song cutting off about ten seconds in and iTunes not downloading songs to it. And I contacted Apple about sending it back to get it fixed a week or two ago, and I still haven't heard a damn thing. I swear, I'm about thiiiiis close to getting a new and different player.

Bah. I'm going to watch Without a Trace, have a Smirnoff, and then work on The Monsters of Minooka.

EDIT: Fourth one down. *dies* (Thanks for pointing me to it, [livejournal.com profile] octopedingenue. :)) And they just mentioned Scranton on Without a Trace. BWAH.

GENETIC BLAME OF EDIT: It's probably pretty bad that I'm all disappointed I'm missing the Pebble Beach Pro Am, based not on liking golf at all, but because I'm just used to golf being on the television every once in a while because of my mother and I haven't watched any lately. *sigh*

How tough is it? What kind of battery life does it have? I have a little 256MB RCA Lyra that for the most part I love, but a short yet unfortunate fall onto a tile floor has left its LCD face mostly unreadable. Also, it eats batteries like cookies.

I'd go, If, yanno, I was legal aged for stuff.

Stupid only 18 people. If the sign ups are after Sugust, though, I'd go. Hey, all I need is someone to eat the bugs. Spicy food? yey. Freaky, slightly demeaning tasks? yey. getting lost with only a cameraman and thee being the onyl ones that can speak English? yey.

TAR is one of the few Reality Shows that I'd go on. because, hey, free trip around the world, y0.
:D

And here's the BugMeNot link for JSonline.com, since it seems to be wanting registration now.

The Rio has a rechargable battery...I want to say something like 12 hours, but I don't remember for sure. It's fairly tough, it gets kind of scratches up, but not enough to be unreadable.

Mine (the Karma) is the 20gb one, though, but Rio also has the littler flash ones if that's what you want.

Can the battery be easily replaced when it finally goes kaput?

You could always tri the Creative Zen; I heard it's a lot better. (I'm on the verge of getting a Creative mp3 player myself, so I might be naturally biased.)

That's probably what I'm going to pick up, just as soon as I have enough to afford it. (Which right now, because of the stupid debt collectors, I can't. ARGH.)

ARGH. *headdesk* Yeah, that sucks major. The Zen is also out of the family budget range for now, so we're settling for one of the cheaper MuVos.

Those things were developed in my country; I'm so proud...
