You know, I started reading what I thought was a nice little article on Locke when I got to the part describing the other actors and their characters and saw, Naveen Andrews (a terrorist?). Excuse me?! At what point has Sayid ever displayed any hint that he might have blown up the plane? Hell, after what happened this week, Walt's displayed more characteristics of being a terrorist than Sayid. The only reason to say that about him so far is that he's Iraqi, and if they suddenly popped up and said it was his fault the plane came down, I'd be severely disappointed in the writers. And just because he was in the Republican army in "communications" doesn't make him a goddamn terrorist, either. Hate you, AP writer, hate you lots.

EDIT: The new Amityville Horror remake trailer. GYAH. Okay, that trailer creeps me out.

Grr. Some people are so stupid. Check your facts before you make assumptions about a character, regardless of race. I highly doubt that the Lost writers would do that, not after they've established that Sayid felt badly about the Sawyer episode and the talk he had with Charlie last week.

What gets me is that people are all up about being PC and not offending anyone, and then they go and make comments like that! (And if that was a joke, it was awful.) I'm glad you wrote an e-mail to him!

I have only seen four episodes of Lost (that's how far we are down here in Australia) but this has me rolling my eyes anyway. I do not think that Sayid is going to turn out to be a terrorist. It seems to me that the show as a whole takes a dim view of some of the characters making assumptions about him based on his nationality. At this stage, it would make about as much sense as the Korean couple turning out to be Evil North Korean Terrorists. (Or, actually, less, because we don't know anything at all about Sun and Jin after the first four episodes.)

Hey, I know - maybe another crash survivor could turn out to be from Iran, and they could form their own Very Small Axis of Evil?
